St James', situated in the heart of one of the world's great cities, is Sydney's oldest church building, and has a long tradition of fine music-making. Along with its fine architecture and acoustics, we have a team of resident musicians of the highest professional calibre. Thus St James' occupies a unique spot in the Australian music scene and offers performances of the highest quality in a venue to match.

Our 2012 program encompasses our regular liturgies and a wide range of daytime and evening concerts involving world-class musicians from both within and outside our own Music Department. Over the coming year, we look forward to new partnerships with Ironwood, Sydney Youth Orchestra and St Mary's Cathedral.

The new weekly Choral Evensong on Wednesday evenings enhances our mid-week ministry to the city at the end of the working day, one which complements our ever popular Wednesday lunchtime concert  series.
