Jorie Ryan was Parish Priest at St Luke’s Anglican Church in Gulgong for almost 7 years. The reflections and poetry in this book came out of that time. Several themes emerged during the editing process which marked her time with the St Luke’s community. Firstly, there was a strong sense of being on the journey, acceptance of the call to even begin, and the adventures that followed.
From that emerges the unassailable sense that we are loved into being by God through Christ, ever single one of us. Always there was the call to ‘be’ in relationship with God and with each other. Overarching is the sense of joy that was evident during this time.
